grades came out

I got my grades yesterday and it wasn't too bad, except for Social Studies which I got a C in. I don't know why, but Uncle Derek wants to look at my homework from now on tomake sure I am understanding everything. Sigh!I sprained my ankle in PE yesterday too. It still hurts, but I can walk on it. I don't have school tomorrow so I can rest (ALL DAY). I hope Uncle Derek lets me sleep in. He loves to wake me up early.It snowed on Sunday and we got to go outside and play. It was a lot of fun, but COLD! I was so tired from playing outside inthe morning that I took a nap that night. I really needed it too. Rufus laid down with me, so I had a leg warmer for most of the nap.

Grades next week

We are going to get our grades next week and I think I did ok. Maybe not ALL A's this time, but all A's and B's.

I am sore from Black Belt Club on Friday. They had us do a LOT of abs workout, so my abs are really sore. It's good for me though, at least that's what everyone keeps telling me.

Aunt Lisa let me have make-up put on by a professional today. It was at one of the make-up counters, and the lady was really nice. She did a good job too. Aunt Lisa says when I am 13 I can wear make-up, and now I kind of know how. Uncle Derek said he might take us to get glamour shots around my birthday too. So that would be cool too.

It snowed this week, though not very much. I wish we would get enough that we could build a snowman or something. It melts too soon so we can't do anything with it.

I'm reading the first Harry Potter book (Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone). It's pretty good, but really long. I don't think I've ever read a book this long before. I might read the second one when I finish this one, but I haven't decided yet.

New Year

Wow, the last few weeks were really busy, but I am glad to be back home. I loved seeing Mom and getting to visit Brittney in Kansas, but the plane ride was rough. Especially when it kept getting later and later. I finally got home on New Year’s Eve, just in time to hang out with friends at home. We stayed up late and played poker (Aunt Lisa won – again).

I went back to school yesterday and that was nice. One of my friends has moved, but the rest are still there, so that was good. And I went back to martial arts. I liked that too. I need to practice my forms and stuff though. I’m out of practice.

I got a lot of cool stuff for Christmas, though I still didn’t get my puppy. We went and looked at puppies at the pet store the other day, and I got to hold a little basset hound girl. She was so sweet, though I don’t think Mom would let me keep her. She gave me the sweetest look though when I was holding her. I really liked her a lot.

We went bowling on New Year’s day which was fun. I even got to a point where I put the bumpers down and I still did all right. I think I need to go bowling more though, so I can get good at it. Uncle Derek was complaining because even Mercedes was beating him. That was funny.
